We see the the background lines coming probably from some activation inside the chamber as the target wheel is removed and we run only with the alpha source at the moment.
The spectrum is the same means that something inside the chamber is activated, not the target 197Au used in the coulex run or neither it's coming from the previously used target of 208Pb |
