Subject: improving beam intensity and a note on the DSSD spectra

Over a night 6/7 of March the beam intensity was very low , i.e. ~ 0.3 enA (compared to the 12 enA indicated in the proposal)  and the beam energy was higher than requested in the proposal.

We have requested for a higher beam intensity. The operators are trying to improve it now.

Attached are the DSSD spectra foor three different runs for sector 2:

1) run3_sector2 - collected during a night with a to high beam energy. Sharp cut off visible in the spectrum at high energy  is related with a to short dynamical range of the electronic system

2) run4_sector2 - collected in the morning with the beam energy lowered to 165 MeV

3) run5_sector2 - collected in the morning with the beam energy lowered to 165 MeV qnd reduced gain of the MDU 16 converters (according to the entry ID 30 )
